Our History

Jim Carpenter, co-proprietor of C&W Antiques graduated with a degree in business administration and grew up in the homebuilding industry as his father owned a highly successful contracting company in Richmond Virginia.

When Jim moved to Dallas Fort Worth, he and his business partner began buying  larger properties in need of repair and completely renovating them with traditional detailing and old world inspiration. Prior to offering these properties for sale, each would be staged with English and French fine antique furnishings and art.

Patrick Walsh, co-proprietor of C&W Antiques, was born in Paris and pursued his early education in Paris, Florence, Rome and London before relocating to the United States, where he continued his studies and subsequently graduated from the University of Richmond in Virginia.

His early exposure to European decor sparked his interest in collecting antiques, which eventually led him to pursue a career in home furnishings design and consulting.

After a period spent renovating properties with his business partner, the founders recognized a need to bring exceptional European antiques directly to the metroplex. Setting up an elegant flagship storefront, they offer customers a world-class service experience, distinguished by personalized consultations and attentive after-sales support. Their curated collection features rare finds, such as 18th-century French armoires, Italian marble-topped commodes, and English Regency furnishings sourced from renowned European estates. This commitment to excellence and authenticity has remained at the heart of the business since they first opened 15 years ago.

C & W antiques specializes in unique one-of-a-kind 17th, 18th and 19th century, European furnishings, chandeliers and accessories. We also have an exquisite collection of original fine art by Italian French, Russian, English and US artists and a retail Faberge collection which is the largest in the state of Texas.  Our antiques are sourced and purchased in Europe and shipped directly to the United States for the discriminating buyer.

    The 2800 square-foot flagship show room creates an inviting ambience with fragrant “Market candles” ,music, and vignettes of old world rooms that stimulate the senses. C&W is the winner of Arlington Today’s readers choice All-Star award for the third straight year.

Interior Decor/Design

We offer comprehensive Interior Design services tailored to meet client unique needs. Our process begins with in-home consultations, where we assess the space, discuss aesthetic preferences, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance a home's ambiance and functionality. We accompany clients to trade showrooms and the Dallas World Trade Center, assisting with selections ranging from furniture and lighting to textiles and decorative accessories. We will guide clients through the purchasing process, offering expert suggestions while respecting tastes and preferences—never imposing our ideas.

Project management is a cornerstone of our service. From the initial concept to the final installation, we coordinate every detail, including space planning, sourcing materials, and overseeing renovations.

With years of experience in the industry, we bring creativity and meticulous attention to detail to every project. We are dedicated to crafting interiors that reflect client personality and individual style. Your home is your sanctuary, and we are here to help create an environment that truly feels like your own. Whether you require complete design management or are simply seeking guidance, we are committed to delivering exceptional results and outstanding service.

Floral Arrangements 

The majority of our silk floral arrangements are expertly crafted in-store by our designer or sourced from Winward, a reputable supplier of faux flowers. Clients frequently request bespoke pieces to coordinate with their room’s color scheme, choosing the vessel, floral varieties, dimensions, and form to best complement their environment. Each arrangement contributes an element of warmth and sophistication to their home.

 Holiday Décor

Every year around October 15, our showroom features holiday garlands, wreaths, floral arrangements, and fully decorated Christmas trees for sale. You'll also find Mark Roberts Santas, European decorations, and festive scented candles throughout, along with plenty of holiday gift ideas.

Luxury Pre-lit Designer Christmas Trees

Our Christmas trees are fully decorated and will be set up by our decorators in the client’s home after purchase. The pre-lit artificial trees feature multiple layers of jeweled ornaments, florals, and designer ribbons from the D Stevens brand.  These trees will compliment any home décor.

Private Gatherings

C&W hosts luxury “sip and shop” events for private groups of 10-30. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and our signature poinsettia cocktail (champagne & cranberry juice) while browsing the showroom, with staff ready to assist you. Reservations and a deposit are required.
